I am a massage therapist and have had many, many different kinds of treatments over the 27 years I have been working. Bowen was totally different, very simple and very effective. I came to see Stephen Blackwood, a Registered Bowen Therapist working from a clinic in my local Pharmacy, after 25 years of various treatments [including physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture and cortico-steroid injections] on my neck, lumbar region and for a more recent 3 years shoulder pains, causing restricted movement, plus arthritic knees and thumbs. Client: RW I initially went to see Judith because I had terrible neck pain that was not alleviated by prescription painkillers or physiotherapy. I was discharged from hospital some days earlier than they normally allow. My recovery progressed at a rate that the surgeon remarked was most unusual.
